#124 Wall Lake

#124 Wall Lake << Flat Tops Wilderness, CO >> The trail to Wall Lake starts at Trappers Lake, quite a drive from any major town, but the scenery along the way is spectacular. I usually spend the night in one of the campgrounds at Trappers Lake, or backpack into the wilderness area. The lower part of the trail goes through the burn area from a major forest fire a few years back, but much of the area around the lake itself was spared. Once you climb to the level of the plateau, the rest is fairly flat (they call this the Flat Tops for a reason) and other lakes are accessible as well.
