#122 Helene, Notchtop & Fog << Rocky Mountain National Park >> Start at the Bear Lake parking area, and go toward Lake Helene. The trail goes past Lake Helene to a ridge from which you can descend to Odessa and Fern Lakes. This photo was take from an overlook along this ridge to the right of the trail. The fog rolling in from the divide added a nice touch. If you descend from this ridge you can go to the Fern Lake trailhead, walk up the road about a mile, and catch a shuttle bus back to your car - one of my favorite hikes!
