#064 Moose Pair in Pond << Rocky Mountain National Park, CO >> Bull moose do not gather “harems” like Elk, but wander around looking for solitary females. This female was feeding in a pond when the bull appeared and attracted her attention by approaching and making low gutteral noises. Over a period of about two hours they stayed near one another in the pond, then the cow moved deeper into the willow brush and the bull followed. Photo was taken along the Colorado River
