• Art Fairs: selected artisans set up booths in a prominent location, usually for a single weekend.  Offer the opportunity to see a fairly complete selection of an artist's work "first hand", and to talk with them in person, but last only for a weekend. 
   
• Art Shows: artists submit pieces for display.  Offer the opportunity to see a few of each artists best pieces for the duration of the show, usually a few weeks.
